  • Kanro Small Can w/box 

    With the fragrance of moist flowers and mellow umami that washes over the palate, Kanro allows you to clearly discern the essential characteristics of gyokuro. We recommend people new to gyokuro try this first.

    • 1. Place 10g (2 tbsp.)
      in kyusu teapot.
    • 2. Add 210 ml (7 oz) of chilled water.
    • 3. Brew for 15 min.
    • * Make another pot using the same tea leaves. Brew the 2nd pot for 7min., and the 3rd pot for 3 min.

    The lightest and most refreshing of Ippodo's eight gyokuro teas, Hekiun can be drunk in large quantities and goes nicely with sweets.

    *Up to 3 pots can be made using the same tea leaves.
    *When brewing a 2nd and 3rd pot of tea, no steeping is required. Just add hot water to the teapot, and serve.

    To fully draw out the tea's body and rich umami taste using less water at a cooler temperature.
    1. Place 10 g (2 heaping tbsp.) in teapot.
    2. Add 80 ml (3oz) of hot water (at about 60C)
    3. Brew for about 1 min. 30 sec.
